Rescuer Felt Scout Badge Khaki 1910 to 1928
The Rescuer badge was also known as Lifesaver and picture of a lifebelt.
First Issued in 1910,
This proficiency badge was worn on the right arm, starting from
the cuff upwards in order of achievement.
To earn
the Rescuer badge*
Must perform four methods of rescue
and three of release in the water, the drowning subject in the rescue methods
being carried at least ten yards. He must be able to demonstrate the Schafer
method of resuscitation and the promotion of warmth and circulation, and if a
Sea Scout must be able to work the rocket apparatus
