KW Artist Scout Badge Khaki Woven War Time
The Artist was worn on the Right arm in between the shoulder and elbow.
A scout could not gain any more than 6 proficiency badges before gaining a First Class scout badge.
To earn this badge a scout must do the following *
(1) Demonstrate his interest, practice and proficiency in some form of one of the following :
Graphic Art.—Sketching, painting, etching, wood-cuts, lino-cuts, etc.
Decorative Work Wallpaper, design, printed or woven fabrics, posters, book-jackets, wrought iron, etc.
Plastic Art. Modelling in clay, Plasticine, etc.’ designing and making pottery, etc.
Carving.-—Wood, stone, or semi-permanent material, e.g., soap. Lettering. Roman, Gill Sans, Script, etc.
In no case is the work to be a copy or tracing, and he must be prepared to state on his honour that the work is entirely by his own hand. Know the names and something of the work of at least
(2) Three famous exponents of the art he has chosen.
