Air Glider Senior Scouts Badge 1958 to 1964
The Air Glider Badge was part of the
Collective series “The Aviator”
To earn this badge a scout must do
the following *
(1) Must gain the Royal Aero Club “A ” Certificate, and be able to take off, fly, and land a two seater
glider to the satisfaction of a Gliding
Club Instructor accompanying him.
(2) Must be able to carry out the Daily Inspection on one type of glider
and have assisted in rigging or derigging.
(3) Explain the formation of soaring currents, i.e. Hill, thermal and
wave lift.
