Too earn the Clerk Badge you must achieve the following*

Must pass test in handwriting, hand-printing, typewriting or as an alternative to typewriting, shorthand 20 words a minute as a minimum, writing a letter from memory on a subject given verbally ?ve minutes previously. Simple book-keeping. Have knowledge of Postal and Telegraph rates, copying and ?ling of correspondence, and use and misuse of the Telephone.
